Essential Course Information

The market is looking for a guarantee that an installed cabling system will deliver a specified transmission performance and will be adaptable to changing technologies, including higher data transport rates.

ADC KRONE in developing and presenting these courses is responding to clients needs for quality endorsement of their cabling installations.

ADC KRONE is mindful of the expertise and experience already existing in the cabling industry. It is seeking to extend and enhance that skill and experience, particularly in relation to the higher speeds of data transmission now envisaged and optimum use and installation of its product. After successful completion of a course, participants with adequate work practice skills (as evidenced by the holding of a current ACMA Open Registration) will be awarded an ADC KRONE Competency Certificate that is valid for 3 years.

Successful students who have yet to obtain substantial work practice skills will be awarded a Letter of Attendance which may be upgraded to a Competency Certificate if the student achieves and presents an Open Registration Certificate within 6-12 months.

An ADC KRONE TrueNet Integrator is a company or business entity, not the individual.

The company must employ at least 50% of it's installation staff on ADC KRONE sites as ADC KRONE Master Installers and employ an ADC KRONE Master Designer. Supervisors on ADC KRONE jobs should also be ADC KRONE Master Installers.

An ADC KRONE TrueNet® System Warranty can only be given on its installed cabling when:

  • the installation is done by an ADC KRONE approved TrueNet Integrator Company employing on-site staff qualified as ADC KRONE Master Installers and Master Designers, and
  • the correct choice of ADC KRONE product is made for the purpose intended, and
  • the correct choice of ADC KRONE cable and product is made for the transmission standard intended and it is installed in accordance with ADC KRONE best practice and the relevant Australian Standards, and
  • the installed cabling system is tested and complies with the relevant transmission standards.

Under these conditions, ADC Communications (Australia) Pty Ltd can confidently offer a TrueNet System guarantee on a site cabled exclusively with ADC KRONE cabling products and under certain conditions, longer period guarantees.

ADC KRONE Competency Certificate
ADC KRONE advises that the following conditions apply to each individual whose name appears on the ADC KRONE Competency Certificate awarded to them upon successful completion of this ADC KRONE Training Course.

A Competency Certificate recognises the individual's attainment of knowledge and adequate work practice skills in the relevant area as nominated on the certificate to enable this nationally recognised qualification to be Registered with any of the Registrars under the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Cabling Provider Rules (CPR).

A prerequisite for awarding a National Competency Certificate covering structured cabling, optical fibre or cabling design is the holding of a current ACMA Open Registration.

ADC KRONE Training Courses meet TITAB requirements to be recognised in all States and Territories.

Competency certificates will provide 14 CEC points towards BICSI RCDD and INSTALL programs. The individual's Competency Certificate together with other technical and commercial requirements help qualify their Installer Company or Department in applying to ADC KRONE in their State or Territory to become an ADC KRONE TrueNet Integrator Company.

(Application forms and details are available from your local ADC KRONE Office.)

A Letter of Attendance recognises the individual's attainment of knowledge and initial skills in the relevant area as nominated on the certificate. Evidence of adequate work practice skills as evidenced by the holding of a current ACMA Open Registration, is needed to upgrade from a Letter of Attendance to a Competency Certificate.

Successful completion of the course requires full-time attendance, passing the written and practical exams and the full payment of course fees before the Certificate is mailed out.
