Managed Density
Why is Managed Density important?
As Data Centre floor space becomes evermore expensive and the need for density increases. Other manufacturers often promote the importance of high density solutions.
While this is true, what use is high density if it means that products become unmanageable?
Imagine in five years, or even five months time, when the infrastructure you've installed needs to be upgraded, or when the moves, adds or changes (MACs) you have implemented result in being confronted with a spaghetti-like mass of cable.
There's no logical sense to how the cables have been managed. Little room for flexibility, limited access points and altering the network could result in significant downtime, which could seriously affect service levels and revenue.
What do you do?

Our commitment
At ADC KRONE, we're committed to developing Managed Density solutions for today's needs whilst preventing tomorrow's problems. We look at the core challenges that need to be considered when designing these solutions, so that when future MACs are implemented, minimal disruption is caused to your business.
What is Managed Density?
Managed Density is striking the right balance between high density and manageability.
This balance is the foundation of Managed Density. At ADC KRONE we develop highly reliable and resilient cabling systems that adhere to the following principles:
- Integrated cable management
- Accessibility, (whether it is accessing the cable in the pathway or ports in the rack or cabinet)
- Bend radius protection
- Visible label fields.
These principles protect the point of connection whilst ensuring port visibility, access and density. With these in mind, we are able to support and deliver evolving cabling infrastructure designs which promote flexibility.
Working with you
We will work with you to design the infrastructure that is right for your unique business needs. Whether it's fibre or copper, we have the right skills and experience, across the globe, to help you in each stage of the process.
